Upcast Technology

Our wire starts as oxygen-free rod cast by upcast — upward continuous casting — in our own plant.

01 Process

How upcast works

Upcast casting line1234Furnace + meltCooled diesRollsCoilerRod rises continuously · several strands at a time
  1. Melting

Copper is melted in an induction furnace and held under a protective cover, so it picks up almost no oxygen.

  2. Casting

Water-cooled dies dip into the melt; the copper solidifies inside them.

  3. Withdrawal

Rolls pull the solid rod upward, continuously, several strands at a time.

  4. Coiling & drawing

The Ø 8 mm rod is coiled, then drawn and annealed in-house into wire.

02 Benefits

Why it matters

OXYGEN

Oxygen-free straight from casting — an independent laboratory measured 1.1 ppm oxygen in a sample of our wire (July 2026).

SURFACE

Clean, bright surface and uniform structure for reliable drawing and annealing.

CONSISTENCY

Consistent chemistry, lot after lot — documented by a test report for each lot.
